The Story

2020 was set to be a groundbreaking year for marketingSHOWCASE Events. More shows, bigger venues, more exhibitors, more speakers, more visitors (you get the picture). When the pandemic struck, like many others, our plans had to change.

For a business that had spent 30 years bringing people together, we had to adapt to keeping apart. Within a matter of weeks the marketingSHOWCASE team created the framework for a new breed of events. A platform that could deliver great content and provide marketing teams a place to learn and continue to progress through challenging times.

Seminars changed to webinars, exhibitors swapped their pop-up’s for digital stands and rather than gathering pens and mugs, visitors filled their ‘Virtual Goody Bags” with downloads and guides.

Above all, we understand that exhibitors expect a return on investment based upon actionable sales opportunities. Maximising engagement with visitors is therefore fundamental to the platform.

What is a virtual event?

Like our live events, marketingSHOWCASE Online keeps marketers at the forefront of their profession. With opportunities to learn, connect and inspire ideas that help grow their business.

Keynote Webinars

30-minute presentations attended by professional marketers. Sessions cover topics such as MarTech, Branding, Data, Websites and Social Media. We have a simple but unique method to convert passive viewers into active engagers and continue conversations long after the webinar has taken place.

Online Exhibition

An average view time of 2 minutes for each exhibitor page impression clearly demonstrates a high level of interest. Visitors can watch exhibitor video presentations, learn about products and services and contact exhibitors directly from their virtual stand.

Virtual Goody Bags

We know people love a freebie when walking the aisles of the show floor, but how does that translate to online shows? We’ve created a ‘Goody Bag’ system where exhibitors offer anything from PDF brochures and guides, voucher codes even sunglasses and cake, and visitors have the opportunity to request their goodies via the stand. Where you don’t have the opportunity to grab someone’s attention in person, the ‘Goody Bags’ spark that initial interaction.

Why is this one any different?

When pivoting online, it was incredibly important for us to remember why clients use our live events in the first place; to generate quality business opportunities and meet new clients.

It’s easy to run webinars, it’s simple to create a list exhibitors but it’s incredibly difficult to create genuine engagement between visitors and exhibitors. However, we’re ahead of the curve in developing new ideas and features to encourage dialogue… and it’s not just us saying that…

After trying several early online events with different organisers, marketingSHOWCASE demonstrate their focus on delivering a return on any investment we make. It’s very easy with these online events to become a sinkhole for our marketing budget however, we can quantify value from the opportunities we’ve generated from participating at marketingSHOWCASE Online.
