COVID-19 Update from Marketing Showcase

COVID-19 Update from Marketing Showcase

UPDATED: 25th March 2020

Manchester, Old Trafford Stadium, 12th May is postponed.

Working with advice from the venue and the government the decision has been made to postpone the Manchester show. The new date for the physical event will be announced asap.

However, as mentioned previously, we’ve launched our virtual event programme which will run on the original event dates of all the shows which we’ve had to postpone.

We’re pleased to be able to offer a source of information for marketers in this uncertain time and we encourage you to support the event and register for one of the upcoming dates.

Choose from the events tab on the menu above or head to www.mktgshowcase.co.uk/register to reserve your place.

Bad news and better news.

Unsurprisingly, we have had to postpone the Birmingham and Newbury events scheduled for 22nd and 23rd April to later dates to be advised shortly. Sadly, the Manchester event on 12th May has also been postponed. That’s the bad news.

The better news, our brilliant team of event organisers are busy creating virtual events, which we hope to be able to present online on the original event dates. We will be trying to replicate the benefits of our normal events as closely as possible but, of course, as we are all learning, you will never replace the experience of face-to-face engagement. That said, we’ll do our best to get as close to the original as possible online and hopefully return to our live event format as soon as it is safe to do so.

Our team are busy contacting exhibitors, visitors and everyone involved so if you are reading this and haven’t been contacted, you will shortly. If you want to talk to someone, please don’t hesitate to call one of the team though.

Thank you for your support in this difficult time and we really do wish everyone the best and good health.

UPDATED: 17th March 2020

We continue to follow the advice of the government and public health England, which unfortunately leaves us not knowing whether venues will be open for business on the dates of our events or not. Our next events are on 22nd and 23rd of April and we hope to receive definitive advice ASAP, which will allow us to make plans accordingly. We will use this post to continually update our position, so please stay posted.

ORIGINALLY POSTED: 16th March 2020

Late last week I made one of the hardest business decisions I have had to make. We were all looking forward to visiting Glasgow on 24th March but, with Scottish government placing a ban on events with more than 500 people, several exhibitors banned from travel and a general sentiment of uncertainty in the air, postponing marketingSHOWCASE Glasgow to 15th September seemed like the best decision for all concerned.

Moving forward, our policy will be to continue to stage our events, wherever possible, on the dates originally planned. However, should we consider it necessary to postpone more events, we will endeavour to do so in a timely manner and arrange alternative dates as soon as possible.

These are difficult times and we will follow the advice of government and health professionals in assessing the potential risk in staging our events with the best interests of our staff, clients and delegates in mind.

Keep an eye our website
Our website is the first place we’ll use to make announcements about forthcoming events, so please keep an eye on our homepage. Our social media channels will also contain the latest information.

Visitors who had registered for the event, we have automatically transferred your tickets to the new date. Should there be any issues please feel free to contact us.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our marketingSHOWCASE stakeholders, venues, marketing partners, exhibitors and delegates for their on-going support.

I’ll see you at marketingSHOWCASE near you soon.

Kind Regards
